We are excited to announce an opening for a Cartage Coordinator (or maybe 2) at our vibrant Sydney office! This is a fantastic opportunity for those seeking part-time, full-time, or flexible working options. Located conveniently at Matraville, we embrace flexible working models that allow you to balance your professional and personal life seamlessly.
Your purpose:
Tracking of shipments through airlines or other freight forwarders and ensuring they are released to GEODIS for clearance with minimal delays
Communicate effectively with various carriers to ensure customers delivery needs are met – all modes AIR/LCL/FCL
Ensure all carriers have correct documentation in a timely manner to service our customers
Maintain shipment status details and running commentary in EDI so accurate records are kept ensuring customers have correct details on their live websites
Liaising with our customs broker to ensure that shipments run smoothly
Invoice all files accurately and in timely manner in line with customer and GEODIS' KPI’s
Process creditor invoices
Ensuring all delays are communicated to our customers
You'll bring:
Minimum 3 years’ experience in cartage operations within the industry
Understanding of Australian wharf, depot, airlines, and transport operations
Knowledge of system literacy and data accuracy
Time management and prioritising skills
Capable of multi-tasking
Experience with EDI-Cargo Wise software strongly preferred
