As a Commercial Regional Sales Director, you will lead a high-performing and diverse team of Account Executives covering Growth Business (GB) and Mid-Market (MM) accounts across Queensland and Western Australia. This is an exciting opportunity for a results-oriented leader to drive strategic growth across a broad account base, shape our go-to-market strategy, and foster an innovative, collaborative environment. Given the geographic spread of the territory, regular interstate travel will be required.
Your role as Regional Sales Director (RSD):
Nurture, mentor, and develop a team of Account Executives covering GB and MM accounts across Queensland and Western Australia
Drive team performance and sales with a growth mindset across both transactional and strategic deal motions
Build out territory strategies with Cross-Functional Partners and align support from Sales / Business Development Teams, Marketing, Solution Engineering, Sales Programs, Productivity, and Partner Alliances
Forecasting and reporting on the most critical drivers of your business across both regions
Possess an analytical and data-driven approach to your business with a strong sense of leadership and the ability to motivate distributed teams
Drive an inclusive, collaborative, learning environment cultivated with mentoring and feedback
Identify and make recommendations for improvement in the areas of process, efficiency, and productivity
Own the entire sales process to ensure delivery against key performance metrics, with a strong emphasis on new business growth while expanding existing accounts
Prioritise and lead industry events and user groups across QLD and WA to generate market interest
Travel regularly between Queensland and Western Australia to support your team in market
What You’ll Bring:
Minimum 2 years of people management experience, ideally leading geographically distributed teams
Strong background in leading and motivating people to achieve performance goals across GB and/or MM segments
Consultative sales skills and ability to construct and articulate strong growth strategies, return on investment, strategic business planning, and execution skills
Consistent proven track record of over-achievement of quota expectations
Ability to analyze and synthesize sales data to optimize the sales funnel across multiple territories
Effective communication skills with the ability to build influential relationships and deliver results in a cross-functional environment
Ideally, prior experience working within the Software/Infrastructure/Platform (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS)/Tech space
Comfort with regular interstate travel across Queensland and Western Australia
What Will Make You Successful:
Extensive software sales experience in both individual contributor and management roles, including sales management in GB and/or MM segments
Proven record of sales success in a similar enterprise software application environment
Successful track record in a high-volume transaction sales environment
Experience managing or collaborating across geographically dispersed teams
Working knowledge/experience of the CRM space
Excellent presentation and listening skills
Bias for action and energy in a very fast-paced environment
Ability to hire, coach, and develop new and existing sales representatives
