Aussie Angels is a fast-growing fintech platform giving emerging fund managers and syndicate leads superpowers. We connect some of Australia's most exciting pre-seed, seed, series A-E and secondary deals with the angel communities who want to back them. We're lean, mission-driven, and moving fast — and we're looking for a go-getter to join our customer success team.
Role Description
This is a rare entry point into Australia's early-stage investment ecosystem. You'll work directly with our Head of Customer Success, Alexandra Lewis, and alongside our CEO/Founder, Cheryl Mack, and CFO, Thomas Worden. From day one, you'll be building real relationships with syndicate leads, helping investors navigate onboarding, and supporting the smooth execution of deals.
No prior fintech experience required — we'll teach you everything. What we can't teach is curiosity, hustle, and a genuine love of helping people.
What You'll Do
- Handle inbound queries from investors and syndicate leads via Email, Slack, WhatsApp, and Groove
- Coordinate and help run monthly and quarterly events such as Ask Me Anything (AMA) calls & Fireside Chats with our CEO, Cheryl Mack
- Support syndicate leads to run high-quality deals on the Aussie Angels platform
- Own a portfolio of syndicate lead relationships — your own clients to grow and support
- Onboard and track new clients and deals - review landing pages and deal memos for compliance adherence; learn what makes a great deal note and converts
- Work closely with CFO, Thomas Worden to ensure smooth deal closing, including transactional docs and processes to smooth out the close process
- Help build and automate scalable processes, playbooks, and customer-facing resources
- Pitch in on admin and operational tasks to keep a lean team running smoothly
About you
- Fresh graduate or up to 1–2 years of experience in a customer-facing role
- You get a dopamine hit from being helpful — you close tabs when problems are solved
- Naturally responsive: you don't let messages sit; you're proactive and go the extra mile
- Curious about startups, investing, or fintech — or eager to learn fast
- Clear communicator: warm, professional, and concise in writing and conversation
- A doer: you see what needs doing and get on with it without being told twice
Qualifications
Aussie Angels recognises that exceptional candidates come with diverse backgrounds. We welcome applications from:
- Recent graduates (any discipline) with strong communication skills and a demonstrated interest in startups, investing, or financial services
- Candidates with 1–2 years of experience in a customer-facing role — this could include retail, hospitality, sales, account management, financial services, or a startup environment
- Those who have been involved in university investment clubs, startup societies, accelerator programs, or community-building roles
We are not looking for a pre-packaged fintech expert. We are looking for someone with the intellectual curiosity and work ethic to become one.

- $65,000 – $80,000 base salary + superannuation (commensurate with experience)
