The Role:  

Based in our Sydney office, this interim Project Manager role, will have accountability for the management and delivery of projects, with particular involvement in complex and high value schemes from order acceptance through to final handover. The role requires strong discipline, hands-on operational execution following contract award. The Project Manager is responsible for ensuring that all projects are delivered safely, on time, within the agreed scope, and in strict adherence to approved budgets.

This is initially a 3-month interim contract, ideally starting immediately.

The Person:

  • Prior experience managing complex projects, within the construction industry

  • Demonstrates a collaborative approach to work

  • Ability to fiercely prioritise and can multitask effectively

  • Exceptional communication skills; can build relationships with ease

  • Demonstrated the ability to respectfully influence stakeholders at all levels

  • Has a ‘roll your sleeves up’ approach to work - will never shy away from challenge

  • Respects the views of others – seeking out different opinions where possible

Responsibilities:

  • Resource Planning - develop detailed project plans and internal resource planning allocations

  • Feasibility & Risk - conduct site visits to assess technical feasibility and identify potential engineering or environmental risks

  • Stakeholder Alignment - coordinate with internal design, planning engineers, factory operations and clients to finalise design and project milestones.

  • Post-Contract Award

  • On-Site Supervision - oversee all daily construction activities to ensure work meets quality and safety standards

  • Financial Control - track all internal expenditures and negotiate variations with the client team.

  • Schedule Management - use project management software to track progress against agreed client programme and resolve any causes for delay.

  • Health & Safety - enforce strict H&S protocols, ensuring all site staff comply with legal regulations and building codes.

  • Project Closeout - manage the final building inspections, defect management, and the smooth handover of documentation to the client

  • Manage with the support of Customer Success any site-based complaints and oversee the resolution
