Bidfood is looking for a National Account Manager, based out of our Collingwood office, to help drive success for some of our most valued customers, focusing on long-term relationships and practical support.
In this role, you won’t just sell; you’ll build relationships with our customers. You’ll be the point of connection between national customers and our internal teams, working closely with branches and category specialists to ensure each customer feels heard, understood and backed by solutions that work.
About the role
This is a relationship-driven role built on trust, insight and follow-through. You’ll manage a portfolio of national customers, many of whom rely on us for specialist foodservice support and service. That means understanding their business, solving problems proactively and helping them plan for the long term. You’ll work closely with branches and category specialists to ensure customers have the right solutions in place.
Your day will include:
Building and maintaining long-term customer relationships across national accounts
Supporting customer success through regular site visits and check-ins
Collaborating with internal stakeholders to align on product solutions,
Assisting with pricing, product preferences, stock access and margin management
Identifying growth opportunities and onboarding new business
Handling feedback and resolving issues with professionalism and care
Ensuring agreed service levels are met across all locations
Representing customer interests across our internal operations
Participating in customer meetings and interstate travel where required
About you
You know food, and you know how to work with people. Maybe you’ve worked in hospitality, managed key accounts or been on the pans yourself. Either way, you understand what great service looks like and how much it matters in this industry. You’re commercially minded, calm under pressure and confident dealing with customers. You build trust quickly, communicate clearly and work well with others to get things done.
Skills and experience
To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:
Proven experience in account management, sales or foodservice/FMCG
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Confidence working with a range of customer types and business models
Solid understanding of hospitality operations and service expectations
Great organisational skills and attention to detail
Systems confidence and a solutions-focused mindset
A current driver’s licence and flexibility for travel
