We are excited to announce an opening for an Seafreight Import Operator (or maybe 2) at our vibrant Sydney office, servicing the world’s major CruiseLine brands! This is a fantastic opportunity for those seeking part-time, full-time, or flexible working options. Located conveniently at Port Botany, we embrace flexible working models that allow you to balance your professional and personal life seamlessly.
Your purpose:
Check and process import documentation
Monitor cargo availability and status
Arrange pre-alerts, arrival notices and outturn reports to clients
Organise and lodge under bond movements
Clear ocean bills and pay shipping / landed charges electronically
Collection and handover of delivery orders and EDO's
Finalise invoices to clients /overseas agents and COD collection where required
FCL and LCL cartage co-ordination
Organise local, interstate road and rail movements when required
Maintain shipment status details
You'll bring:
Minimum 1 year experience in Seafreight Imports Operations
Experience with EDI-Cargo Wise software preferred but not essential
Strong communication and organisation skills
Understanding of freight forwarding, warehouse, wharf and shipping procedures and processes
