The Opportunity:
We’re seeking a State Transport Manager (NSW) to lead a complex, high-volume, state of the art transport operation.
This is a transformational leadership role — you will unify operations, drive performance uplift, and build a high-performing, safety-first culture across pallet, carton, and linehaul networks.
You’ll operate at both strategic and operational levels, owning performance outcomes across service, cost, safety, and customer experience.
What you’ll be accountable for:
- Lead state-wide transport operations, ensuring seamless execution across multi-shift (AM/PM/Night) environments
- Drive operational excellence across DIFOT, cost per kilometre, asset utilisation, and service performance
- Deliver cultural transformation, embedding accountability, collaboration, and DHL leadership behaviours
- Optimise network performance, including routing efficiencies across pallet, carton, and linehaul operations
- Champion safety and compliance, with full accountability for CoR, NHVAS, WHS and Dangerous Goods
- Build high-performing teams, coaching leaders, lifting capability, and managing performance proactively
- Partner with customers and stakeholders, strengthening relationships and delivering consistently high service outcomes
- Lead continuous improvement and innovation, leveraging data, systems and automation to enhance efficiency
About you:
You’re a results-driven, commercially astute transport leader who thrives in complex, fast-paced environments.
Experience & expertise
- Extensive leadership experience in transport, logistics or supply chain operations
- Strong background in multi-site, high-volume transport networks
- Proven track record improving routing efficiency, cost performance, and service delivery
- Deep understanding of Australian transport networks and distribution channels
- Expertise in Chain of Responsibility (CoR), NHVAS, WHS and compliance frameworks
- Experience managing fleet + subcontractor models
