Are you an experienced Account Manager who enjoys building trusted client relationships, solving problems and helping customers get genuine value from a product or service?

Our client is a growing Australian technology company operating within a booming sector. With continued business growth and an expanding portfolio of strategic customers, they are looking to appoint two Account Managers to join their Sydney team.

This is a relationship-focused position where you will inherit an established portfolio of larger and strategically important customers across the solar retail and installation market.

There is no cold calling or outbound business development. Your focus will be customer retention, satisfaction, successful product adoption and long-term partnership development.

The Opportunity

As an Account Manager, you will become the primary point of contact for a portfolio of key customers.

You will take the time to understand how each customer operates, identify potential risks or opportunities and coordinate with internal teams to deliver positive outcomes.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and developing a portfolio of strategic customer accounts

  • Building trusted relationships with key customer stakeholders

  • Conducting regular account reviews, meetings and customer site visits

  • Managing the onboarding of new customers

  • Identifying retention risks and developing proactive action plans

  • Coordinating the resolution of customer issues and escalations

  • Working closely with Client Services, Operations, Compliance and Product teams

  • Gathering customer feedback and translating it into product or process improvements

  • Identifying opportunities for customers to adopt additional products or services

  • Maintaining accurate CRM records, account plans and customer information

  • Supporting customer offboarding where required

The position will involve occasional interstate travel to visit customer sites, understand their workflows and strengthen relationships.

About You

You will likely have at least three years of experience in account management, customer success, client services or relationship management.

Experience within SaaS, software, renewable energy, construction technology, telecommunications, field services or another operationally focused business would be highly regarded.

You will also bring:

  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills

  • A proactive and customer-first mindset

  • Confidence conducting account reviews and client presentations

  • Commercial awareness and the ability to identify customer risks

  • Strong organisational and portfolio management skills

  • A practical approach to problem solving and escalations

  • The ability to coordinate across multiple internal teams

  • Curiosity and a genuine interest in understanding customer businesses

  • Experience using a CRM such as HubSpot, Salesforce or a similar platform

  • Confidence learning new technology and software systems

You do not need to be a solar industry expert. More importantly, you will be comfortable learning a technical product and understanding how it supports your customers’ operational and compliance requirements.
