POSITION DESCRIPTION

Account Manager – SaaS Banking Platform

As an Account Manager, you are responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of Nimo customers across the financial services sector. Your primary focus is to build trusted, long‑term relationships with lender clients, ensure strong platform adoption, and identify opportunities to expand the value customers realise from the Nimo platform.

You act as the key commercial and relationship owner post‑implementation, working closely with Customer Success, Product and Technology teams to deliver exceptional outcomes for customers while supporting revenue growth, retention and advocacy.

This role plays a critical part in Nimo’s growth as an industry‑leading fintech platform.

This role reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer.

Key responsibilities include:

​Account & Relationship Management

·       Own and manage a portfolio of financial services customers post‑onboarding.

·       Build deep, trusted relationships with key stakeholders across lender organisations.

·       Act as the primary point of contact for commercial, relationship and contractual matters.

·       Conduct regular account check‑ins, reviews and planning sessions with customers.

 Customer Retention & Growth

·       Drive customer satisfaction, retention and platform advocacy.

·       Identify opportunities for account expansion, upsell and cross‑sell in collaboration with leadership.

·       Proactively identify risks to retention and work cross‑functionally to mitigate them.

·       Support contract renewals and commercial negotiations where required.

 Platform Adoption & Value Realisation

·       Ensure customers are maximising value from the Nimo platform.

·       Collaborate with Customer Success and Support teams to drive ongoing adoption and usage.

·       Translate customer business needs into platform use‑cases and opportunities.

·       Communicate new platform features, enhancements and roadmap updates to customers.

 Stakeholder Collaboration

·       Work closely with Product, Technology and Customer Success teams to resolve issues, prioritise improvements and deliver on customer commitments.

·       Gather structured customer feedback and insights to inform platform development and strategy.

·       Support business development activities as required, including tender responses, demonstrations and stakeholder presentations.

 Industry & Market Engagement

·       Maintain a strong understanding of financial services, lending, fintech and regulatory trends.

·       Represent Nimo professionally in customer meetings, industry events and partner engagements.

·       Contribute to thought leadership, case studies and customer success stories.

 

It is expected that the role holder will have the following qualifications and experience:

·       Experience in account management, customer success or relationship management within financial services, SaaS or fintech.

·       Strong understanding of financial services, lending or regulated environments.

·       Proven ability to manage multiple client relationships simultaneously.

·       Strong commercial acumen with experience supporting renewals, growth and customer retention.

·       Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with senior stakeholders.

·       Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work cross‑functionally.

·       Experience working with software platforms and complex technology products.

 Location:

·       The role is based at the Nimo office in South Melbourne, with travel and on-site work at lender locations as needed.
