Our client is seeking a driven and commercially minded Business Development Manager (BDM) to take ownership of NSW territory and play a key role in accelerating growth across their reseller network. This is a true business development role, not an account management position, where you will be responsible for developing new opportunities, strengthening existing reseller relationships, and driving revenue growth across your territory. You will operate with a high level of autonomy, effectively managing your territory as your own business unit.
About the Role
Our client is a well-established business within the window furnishings industry, offering a high-quality, locally manufactured product range with strong market differentiation. In this role, you will work closely with resellers to build capability, confidence, and overall sales performance. By leveraging your product knowledge, identifying new opportunities, and providing strong commercial solutions, you will play a key role in supporting customer success and driving the continued growth of the business. You will also be expected to consistently exceed sales targets while delivering exceptional service and developing long-term, trusted partnerships across your region.
Key Responsibilities
Drive and exceed sales, revenue, and profitability targets across the NSW territory through proactive business development and strong account management
Develop new business opportunities while strengthening and maintaining long-term relationships with existing customers through regular visits and ongoing engagement
Create and execute tailored territory and customer business plans in collaboration with management to drive structured and sustainable growth
Provide product training, technical support, marketing materials, and samples to reseller networks while gathering customer feedback to improve product range, pricing, and service
Analyse and report on monthly sales performance, identify market trends and competitor activity, and contribute to sales meetings and overall business strategy while ensuring compliance with company policies and standards
About You
Proven success in business development or technical sales, ideally within window furnishings or a related industry
Strong ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships
Demonstrated track record of winning new business and growing market share
Commercially minded with the ability to manage and grow a territory independently
Strong technical aptitude with a willingness to continuously learn product ranges
Excellent communication and influencing skills with a professional, consultative approach
Highly organised, self-motivated, and proactive in managing workload and priorities
Experience working with trade, retail, or reseller networks is highly regarded
