About the Role

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying and converting new business opportunities while building long-term relationships with business owners and key decision-makers.

Success in this role requires a proactive approach to business development, including outbound prospecting, lead generation, relationship building and pipeline management. You will be comfortable initiating conversations, opening doors and creating opportunities through consistent sales activity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate and qualify new business opportunities through a variety of prospecting activities.

  • Build strong relationships with business owners and key decision-makers.

  • Conduct virtual sales presentations and customer meetings.

  • Manage and progress opportunities through the sales pipeline.

  • Negotiate and close new business agreements.

  • Maintain accurate records and activity within our CRM platform.

  • Achieve and exceed sales KPIs and revenue targets.

  • Provide regular pipeline updates and sales forecasting.

  • Work collaboratively with onboarding and customer success teams to ensure a smooth transition for new customers.

About You

You are an experienced sales professional with a strong track record of generating new business and consistently achieving results.

You thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy the challenge of creating opportunities where others see obstacles.

You are highly self-motivated, disciplined and capable of working remotely while maintaining exceptional productivity, accountability and professional standards.

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Business Development, Account Management or Sales.

  • Proven ability to generate leads and develop new business opportunities.

  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills.

  • Demonstrated success in negotiating and closing sales.

  • Experience managing opportunities through a CRM platform.

  • Proven ability to work autonomously while contributing to a team environment.

  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to successfully work from home while maintaining high performance standards.

  • Professional presentation and customer-first mindset.

  • Experience within logistics, transport, freight, courier or recruitment industries will be highly regarded but is not essential.
