We are excited to announce an opening for a Business Unit Transport Supervisor (or maybe 2) at our vibrant Sydney office! Your purpose:
Monitor team compliance of tracking of shipping lines, airlines and freight forwarders, ensuring timely release to GEODIS for clearance with minimal delays
Supervise carrier communication across all modes (Air/LCL/FCL) to ensure customer delivery requirements are consistently met
Ensure team provides all carriers with correct documentation in a timely manner
Instruct and coordinate interstate offices on all relevant job information to ensure customers’ local delivery needs are met
Oversee accurate and timely invoicing of all files in line with customer and branch KPIs
Manage creditor invoice processing and accrual management across the team
Support OMT staff with cost rate maintenance
Manage customer notifications around service variations, pricing changes and rate increases
Maintain shipment status and running commentary in EDI
Ensure customer KPI compliance across the team
Liaise with customs broker on complex or sensitive accounts
Oversee data input accuracy and general office duties
You'll bring:
7+ years plus Operational experience in the industry, preferably with time spent in Transport/ Cartage Supervisory capacity
Industry knowledge
Outstanding people management skills
Excellent Time management
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Capable of multi-tasking
Experience using Cargo Wise
