About HirePOS

HirePOS is an established Australian SaaS business providing software for the hire, rental, events, construction and equipment industries.

Our platform helps businesses manage bookings, inventory and availability, invoicing, payments, customer communication, reporting and day-to-day operations from one central system.

We are looking for a commercially minded, customer-facing software professional to help suitable prospects move from first enquiry through to trial, discovery, demo, subscription and early adoption.

This is not a traditional high-pressure sales role. It is also not a general support role.

About the Role

This role sits between sales, customer success, onboarding and product understanding.

You will be responsible for keeping new customer opportunities moving. This includes making sure leads are followed up, trial users are engaged, demos are booked, customer needs are understood, and new customers are handed over clearly into onboarding and support.

The successful person will be organised, commercially aware, confident speaking with business owners, and comfortable learning and explaining business software.

You will not be expected to know HirePOS on day one. You will be trained by senior team members and will shadow customer sessions before gradually running standard demos yourself.

As this is a fully remote, customer-facing role, you will need to be comfortable managing your own day, communicating clearly with the team, and maintaining a reliable internet connection and suitable workspace for customer calls, software demos and focused follow-up work.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will:

  • Follow up new enquiries, leads and trial users

  • Help prospects start and engage with their trial

  • Book and conduct discovery and demo sessions

  • Understand customer workflows and business needs

  • Explain how HirePOS can support common operational processes

  • Keep CRM records, notes and next steps up to date

  • Follow up after demos and help suitable customers progress

  • Coordinate onboarding handovers with our support team

  • Remain a clear contact for new customers during their early adoption

  • Escalate specialist questions to the right internal person

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone with:

  • Excellent customer-facing communication skills

  • Strong practical business literacy

  • Strong experience using, supporting or working with business software

  • Confidence speaking with business owners, managers and staff

  • Curiosity about how different businesses operate

  • Good organisation and follow-up habits

  • The ability to learn software quickly

  • Confidence working remotely with strong self-management and communication skills

  • A practical, consultative and helpful communication style

  • The judgement to know when to ask for help or escalate

You do not need to be highly technical, but you should be confident learning and explaining practical business software.

Strong business software experience and a practical understanding of operational businesses are more important than a traditional sales background.

Highly Regarded Experience

Experience in the following areas will be very highly regarded:

  • Hire or rental industry experience

  • SaaS industry experience

Additional advantageous experience includes:

  • Events

  • Construction

  • Logistics

  • Trade services

  • Field service

  • Office management or operations coordination

  • Customer success or onboarding

  • Bookkeeping

  • Business software support or implementation

This Role May Suit You If

You enjoy:

  • Asking good questions

  • Understanding customer problems

  • Explaining software clearly

  • Keeping things organised and followed up

  • Helping customers make good decisions, rather than pushing unsuitable customers across the line

What Success Looks Like

In this role, success means helping suitable prospects become confident, low-friction, long-term HirePOS customers.

You will help ensure:

  • New enquiries are followed up properly

  • Trial users receive the right guidance

  • Demos and discovery conversations are well coordinated

  • Prospects understand whether HirePOS is the right fit

  • Customer expectations are clear before subscribing

  • Onboarding handovers are smooth

  • New customers feel supported during their first few months

  • The team has better visibility over why opportunities convert, stall or drop away

Training and Growth

You will be trained on HirePOS and supported by experienced team members.

In the first few months, you will learn the product, shadow demos and customer conversations, take ownership of CRM hygiene, follow up leads and trial users, and gradually begin running standard demos.

Over time, this role is expected to take ownership of the full customer acquisition and onboarding journey. As the business grows, you will have increasing involvement in improving trial onboarding, customer education material, help guides, training content and customer journey design. This is a role for someone who wants to build, not just execute.

Why Join HirePOS?

This is an opportunity to join a proven Australian SaaS business in a practical, customer-facing role with real ownership.

You will work with a product that solves genuine operational problems for businesses and play an important part in helping new customers adopt it successfully.

This role would suit someone who enjoys software, business operations, customer conversations and structured follow-up.

How to Apply

If you are commercially minded, software-savvy and enjoy helping customers understand and adopt practical business systems, we would love to hear from you.

Please apply with your resume and a short cover letter outlining your experience with business software, customer communication, demos, onboarding, operations or customer success.
