Customer Success Manager – Goulburn Valley Shepparton area | Phytech Australia

This is a rare opportunity to join a fast-growing AgTech company at a pivotal point in its Australian expansion and build a career that genuinely matters to the growers you work with.

About the Role

Based in the greater Shepparton area and reporting directly to the Managing Director, you'll own your region. Your days will be split between winning new business and being a trusted agronomic advisor to an established client base: Farm and Irrigation Managers who rely on you to help them make better decisions, backed by real plant data rather than guesswork.

This isn't a call-centre sales role. You'll be on-farm, face-to-face with growers, walking through orchards, solving real problems. The impact you have is tangible; providing peace of mind and improving efficiencies on farm.

Why This Role Stands Out

At Phytech, the CSM role sits at the intersection of agronomy, technology and commercial growth. You'll have direct influence on how the business expands in one of Australia's most important horticultural regions, and as the company grows, so does your career. We're actively developing our team from within — the right person in this role has a clear path into senior positions as we scale.

Internally, you'll be a key voice on what growers need, feeding insights back into our product and service teams. Your experience in the field shapes how we improve. That's not a line in a job ad — it's how we actually operate.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Generating new business across the Goulburn Valley through referrals, relationships and regional knowledge

  • Providing agronomic support and training to existing clients — on-farm, by phone, or via Zoom

  • Interpreting plant and environmental sensor data to give growers actionable, evidence-based recommendations

  • Travelling regularly throughout the region, with the occasional night away

What You'll Bring

  • Minimum 1–2 years of horticultural irrigation experience — operation, maintenance or design

  • Strong agronomy knowledge and a genuine passion for helping growers succeed

  • The ability to learn quickly, think analytically and communicate clearly and professionally

  • A self-starter mindset — you'll work autonomously from home or our Mildura office

  • A valid Australian driver's licence and full working rights in Australia

  • Experience in agricultural sales or consultancy is a real advantage

What's On Offer

  • Base salary and commission structure commensurate with experience

  • Company vehicle, phone and laptop

  • Superannuation

  • Full training and ongoing support on the Phytech platform

  • A genuine path for career progression in a growing business

  • The chance to be part of something bigger — technology that's changing how Australia grows food
