Customer Success Manager/Tech Guidance/Sales Conversion - location flexible

Full-time
On-site
Toowoomba & Darling Downs QLD
My client is a well established & niche player in the AgriTech arena, providing innovative solutions to their customers, that leverages best in class technology, enabling them to maintain competitive advantage in the challenging Agricultural arena.
As their suite of products has reached a strong level of robustness & capability, they are now looking to boost the commercial side of their business, and are looking to hire a Customer Success Manager (CSM) to join their ranks.

Joining a small current CSM team, this is no typical CSM role, I am looking for someone who is software & tech savvy, who is comfortable dealing with a mass market (not enterprise) client dynamic, who can help ensure customer retention rates stay on/above target, can also provide some tutelage to customers re using the software effectively as required and can also convert interest in the product into a sale - please not this does not involve cold outbound sales calls, it is all about managing incoming workflow & converting interest in the product into a new customer when appropriate.

Equally as important as all of the above is that the successful candidate has a demonstrable interest in the Digital Agronomy/Agricultural industry, who can build rapport with stakeholders in this market (typically privately owned/family run businesses).  Being able to grasp challenges/pain points is naturally important, as is the ability to be able to articulate the SW products output etc. in simple, easy to understand English to non-tech audiences. The goal is to become a trusted contact to the community you serve, so any proclivities or interests that lean into the agricultural industry will stand you in good stead.

The ability to communicate & coordinate effectively to deliver is crucial, requiring effective scheduling skills & a proactive communication strategy. The ability to take ownership for outcomes (as appropriate) is also crucial as you will not be micro-managed in this role, you will work autonomously, and over time contribute to the knowledge base through writing articles, training guides (new releases etc.), using email, phone, video to communicate to your target audience as required.

The ability to triage & prioritise your work is essential, as is the ability to track user sentiment & feedback re the product & raise this with the product function as appropriate.

This role is extremely varied & no 2 days will typically look the same, so its important the successful candidate can be adaptable, likes to lean into different skill-sets & qualities & is ready to become a key individual for this business.

Support & training will be available to help bring you up to speed, this role can be either hybrid ( Darling Downs in Queensland or Western Brisbane- Ipswich etc.) or be fully remote - Central NSW,  rural Victoria or rural QLD etc as long as you can get to the Darling Downs office once every few weeks as required, so being relatively near a airport hub, Sydney, Newcastle, Melbourne, Adelaide etc. is well regarded.

You will be working a largely hybrid or remote role (occasional visits to the office) but this is doesn't mean you will be working in isolation, you will be part of a nascent Customer Success team, having regular video & phone calls with team members, the leadership team as well as your customer base.

Anyone with a genuine interest in Agriculture, that is Customer focused & is software savvy should look no further, this is the role for you.

Interested candidates should apply online ASAP with an up to date resume (Word Format) or call Declan on 0468 029 960 for a confidential discussion.

Candidates must have full Australian working rights (Citizens or PR).
