We're looking for an experienced and commercially driven Head of Grounds Maintenance to lead and grow our National Grounds Maintenance Division.
This strategic leadership role is responsible for overseeing the delivery, performance and growth of our grounds maintenance and open spaces services portfolio.
About the Role
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you will provide strategic and operational leadership for the Grounds Maintenance business nationally.
You will be responsible for shaping the division's growth strategy, ensuring exceptional customer outcomes, leading high-performing teams and identifying opportunities to expand market presence and service capability.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and lead GJK's national Grounds Maintenance division, building a scalable and profitable service line
- Develop and execute growth strategies that drive revenue, customer retention and EBIT outcomes
- Identify and secure integrated service opportunities across GJK's existing customer portfolio
- Lead business development activities, major bids, tenders and strategic customer relationships
- Oversee the delivery of grounds maintenance, landscaping, arboriculture and environmental services nationally
- Implement operating models, systems and governance frameworks to support sustainable growth
- Manage divisional budgets, financial performance and profitability targets
- Build and develop high-performing teams, fostering a culture of accountability, safety and service excellence
About You
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role within Grounds Maintenance, Landscaping, , Arboriculture or Environmental Services
- Experience within the grounds maintenance, government, education, commercial property, or related sectors is highly desirable
- Demonstrated success building, growing or transforming a business unit, division or service offering
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, profitability and P&L performance
- A track record of winning and retaining contracts while developing strong customer relationships
- Experience leading large operational teams across multiple sites and regions
- Strategic thinker with the ability to turn growth opportunities into sustainable business outcomes
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and building capability from the ground up
- A collaborative and influential leader with exceptional stakeholder management skills
