Pentana Solutions has been powering the Australian automotive industry for over 50 years. Through our partnership with Parex, a global leader in automotive parts solutions since 1998, we're helping dealerships, distributors and OEMs across more than 100 countries get the right part to the right person at the right time. The work is real, the customers are demanding, and we're hiring.

The opportunity:

You'll be the technical expert customers turn to when implementing inventory management and parts software solutions. This is a customer-facing role where your knowledge of automotive spare parts and inventory control meets hands-on software implementation, working directly with distributors, dealerships and OEMs to understand their parts operations, recommend best practice, configure solutions, and guide them through successful go-lives.

You'll lead installations end to end: configuration, data migration, training, troubleshooting, and building the kind of trusted relationships that keep customers coming back.

Why this role exists right now:

As our inventory management solutions expand across the automotive parts network, we need someone who can bridge the gap between parts operations know-how and technical implementation. We're looking for someone who speaks the language of parts managers and inventory controllers fluently, and who can translate that expertise into system configurations that actually work for the customer's day-to-day. This is a chance to shape how customers adopt new technology and see the direct impact of your work in smoother inventory processes and stronger customer relationships.

What you'll bring:

  • Strong background in automotive spare parts, dealership parts operations, or wholesale distribution.
  • Experience in inventory control, stock management, forecasting, or parts administration.
  • Excellent understanding of automotive parts terminology and business processes.
  • Experience implementing or supporting system change, ideally in a customer-facing capacity.
  • Knowledge of electronic parts catalogues (EPC), parts ordering platforms, or eCommerce solutions.
  • Previous experience in software implementation, business analysis, or customer success is highly regarded.
  • Basic understanding of databases, integrations, or IT systems.
  • Strong customer communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in a practical, business-focused way.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

What to expect:

Two things to know going in. First, this is a hands-on, customer-facing seat: full-time, based on-site at our Global Head Office in Mount Waverley, five days per week.

Second, you'll be juggling multiple implementations at once, moving between configuration, customer training (remote and on-site), data migration, and troubleshooting. Come ready to own the detail and see it through to a successful go-live.

You'll know you're succeeding when customers adopt new software with minimal disruption, their inventory processes genuinely improve, and they start seeing you as a trusted expert, not just a vendor contact.

What's in it for you:

  • Ownership. You'll own the implementation journey from first conversation to successful go-live.
  • Real impact. Your work directly improves how customers manage their parts operations, and you'll see the results in their inventory efficiency.
  • Growth. Access to GROW, our Learning and Development framework, so you can keep building your career at the intersection of automotive and technology.
  • Wellbeing. THRIVE, our holistic wellbeing program, plus a relaxed but ambitious, outcomes-focused culture.
  • Connection. The chance to collaborate with teams across the business, nationally and globally.

We're all about celebrating diversity and creating an inclusive, respectful team. We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds, including Indigenous Australians, people of colour, LGBTIQA+, and those with disabilities.

If you know your way around a parts room as well as you do a software configuration screen, we should talk. Apply now.
