We are seeking an Internal Sales & Customer Success professional to join our team. This is a part-time position (nominally 0.5) that will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth and customer success.
As an internal sales representative, you will be the backbone of our sales operation, managing inbound inquiries, nurturing leads, and closing deals. You will also be actively involved in customer success; monitoring engagement and providing some customer support.
This role offers flexibility whilst maintaining the strategic importance of generating new business and retaining existing clients through exceptional service and consultative selling.
Time may also be spent on product testing, depending on the successful candidates’ skills & suitability.
Working closely with teachers at schools and universities, strong communication, service and relationship management skills are required. A good understanding of educational institutions is essential.
Sales
Inbound sales enquires, following up leads, quoting
Pre-sale product demonstrations, guidance and support
Lead generation – phone, email, socials & customer research
Updating and maintaining accurate customer records in Salesforce
Teamwork with the AU/NZ Education Manager
Fulfilling orders via Salesforce and other licensing systems
Customer Success
Customer training & support – email, ‘Zoom’ calls, webinars
Service monitoring & customer retention
Curriculum and content integration
Other Tasks
Testing and verification of customer issues, new features and bugs
Occasional administration tasks
Experience working closely with educators, preferably in high school and tertiary education
Sales & customer relationship management experience
Solid understanding of the education software sales cycle and consultative selling methodologies
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage priorities and meet sales targets
Ability to build rapport with clients and manage multiple conversations
Proficiency with CRM systems, sales management tools & general business applications
Ability to work collaboratively but also independently when required
Excellent time and task management
Ability to work from home
The ability to play a musical instrument and read music
Music theory knowledge equivalent to first year university is highly desirable
