A leading Australian advanced manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Technical Account Manager to manage and grow a portfolio of strategic customer accounts.
This is a highly visible role suited to someone who enjoys building long-term customer relationships, navigating complex technical discussions, and coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional outcomes.
Acting as the primary interface between customers and internal stakeholders, you’ll work across the full product lifecycle - from early engagement and product introduction through to ongoing production and account growth.
You’ll collaborate closely with engineering, production, procurement, quality, and operations teams to ensure customers receive a consistently high level of service while identifying opportunities to strengthen partnerships and support future business growth.
The Role You’ll take ownership of a portfolio of key accounts, developing a deep understanding of each customer’s products, priorities, and operational requirements.
Success in this position will come from your ability to build trusted relationships, communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and ensure customer requirements are translated into successful manufacturing outcomes.
Key Responsibilities - Manage and develop long-term relationships across a portfolio of strategic accounts
- Act as the primary point of contact for customer enquiries, project updates, and commercial discussions
- Support customers through product introduction, ongoing production, and lifecycle management activities
- Translate customer requirements into actionable deliverables for internal engineering and manufacturing teams
- Identify opportunities to expand existing relationships and support revenue growth
- Coordinate customer forecasts, quotations, delivery expectations, and account plans
- Work proactively with internal teams to resolve issues and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction
- Monitor account performance and maintain accurate CRM records, forecasts, and reporting
- Partner with operations, procurement, and quality teams to ensure successful program delivery
About You - Experience in technical account management, customer success, program management, or technical sales
- Background working within manufacturing, engineering, industrial, or technology environments
- Strong commercial acumen combined with the ability to understand technical products and processes
- Proven ability to build credibility with engineers, operations teams, and senior customer stakeholders
- Excellent communication, relationship management, and problem-solving skills
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable operating with a high degree of autonomy
Highly Regarded Experience - Electronics manufacturing or contract manufacturing environments
- Experience supporting customers through New Product Introduction (NPI) programs
- Exposure to highly regulated industries such as MedTech, Aerospace, Defence, or industrial technology
- Experience using Salesforce CRM, ERP, and production planning systems
- Understanding of manufacturing, quality, or supply chain processes
