We are a well-established business headquartered in Sydney with additional offices in Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane and New Zealand, supporting customers across industries including food & beverage, mining, pharmaceutical, power generation, chemicals, water and oil & gas.

We are looking for an experienced Regional Sales Manager to join our Melbourne office and take responsibility for our customers throughout Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania.

About the Role

This is a genuine business development role where you'll grow an established customer base while identifying and developing new opportunities across your territory.

While you will manage and develop an established customer base, the key focus of this role is identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with new customers and creating sustainable growth across key industrial markets.

You'll work closely with our Internal Sales, Engineering and Service teams to provide technical solutions to customers and help drive continued growth across the region.

This role would suit someone who is commercially driven, enjoys developing new business and has a proven track record selling technical products into industrial markets.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Developing and executing a territory growth plan to increase sales and market share across Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania

  • Identifying, targeting and winning new customers across key process industries

  • Developing new business opportunities within existing and emerging industrial sectors

  • Proactively engaging with EPCs, OEMs, end users, consultants and contractors to create new sales opportunities

  • Expanding SAMSON’s presence in industries where our market penetration is currently limited

  • Managing and growing an established customer portfolio while developing new customer relationships

  • Building and maintaining a strong sales pipeline through structured sales planning and CRM activities

  • Preparing quotations, tenders and commercial proposals to secure new projects and long-term customer agreements

  • Promoting SAMSON’s range of control valves, regulators and process automation solutions through value-based selling

  • Conducting customer visits, technical presentations and business development meetings

  • Working closely with Internal Sales, Engineering and Service teams to deliver solutions that support customer success

  • Representing SAMSON at industry events, exhibitions and networking forums

  • Travelling throughout the territory as required

  • Building a strong and sustainable sales pipeline

  • Increasing territory sales and market share

What You'll Bring

  • At least five years' experience in technical sales, business development or account management

  • Experience within process automation, control valves, instrumentation or a related industrial industry would be highly regarded

  • Strong commercial awareness and a proven ability to develop new business

  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills

  • A self-motivated, organised and customer-focused approach

  • An engineering qualification, technical trade qualification or equivalent industry experience

  • A current Australian driver's licence
