About the role
Cell Biosciences is seeking a Scientific / Diagnostics Territory Manager to join our growing team in Preston, VIC. This is a full-time position that combines scientific expertise with commercial acumen to drive market expansion and customer success within the diagnostics sector. You will be responsible for managing a defined territory, building strong relationships with key stakeholders, and championing our scientific solutions to healthcare professionals and laboratory facilities. This role is pivotal in translating our innovative diagnostic products into tangible customer outcomes and revenue growth.
Key responsibilities
Develop and execute territory business plans to achieve sales targets and market penetration goals
Build and maintain relationships with key accounts including diagnostic, university, pharmaceutical and food laboratories.
Conduct product demonstrations and provide technical support to customers, ensuring they understand the scientific benefits and applications of our diagnostic solutions
Deliver scientific presentations and training sessions to laboratory staff to promote product adoption
Identify new business opportunities and engage with prospective customers to expand market presence
Gather market intelligence and customer feedback to inform product development and marketing strategies
Coordinate with internal teams including clinical, regulatory and operations to ensure seamless customer support and issue resolution
Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, sales activities and territory performance metrics
Represent Cell Biosciences at industry conferences, trade shows and networking events
Work collaboratively with the wider sales and marketing teams to develop territory-specific strategies
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Life Sciences, Medical Laboratory Science or related scientific discipline
Proven experience in scientific sales, diagnostics sales or laboratory services within the healthcare industry (minimum 3+ years)
Strong understanding of diagnostic testing methodologies, laboratory operations and clinical pathways
Demonstrated ability to build and nurture long-term customer relationships and manage key accounts
Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex scientific concepts into clear, compelling customer propositions
Self-motivated and driven approach with strong organisational and time management skills
Territory management experience and proven track record of achieving sales targets
Knowledge of the Australian laboratory and diagnostic testing landscape
A valid driver's licence and willingness to travel within the assigned territory
Technical proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications
