The Opportunity
Oceania Power is looking for a capable, proficient and curious Technician to work as part of our Service Market Team, with our Dealers, Partners and Customers to drive and support our growing business!
This is a key role, leading our Industrial Business service segment while supporting our Marine Service Market business unit. Suitable for an experienced Diesel Technician, Auto Electrician, Electrical/Electronics Technician or dual-trade Technician who is ready to take the next step into a role that blends hands on technical work, service, problem solving and support to deliver customer success outcomes working with market leading and future-focused power solutions.
We support Queensland and PNG markets where you will provide technical support to a team of authorised Dealers, along with OEMs, Key Accounts and Customers; also partnering with our Sales Team to support existing opportunities and conquering new frontiers and while developing your ability as part of a manufacturer’s network representing some of the world's leading industrial and marine power solution products.
No two days will be the same. We solve problems and provide solutions.
What You Will Be Doing
Support the Service Market team and Dealer Network with technical support cases.
Diagnose and repair engines, electrical systems and control systems.
Complete or support the completion of installations, commissioning, testing and warranty activities.
Work with OEMs, key accounts and dealers to deliver technical solutions and customer success outcomes.
Assist our sales team with new engine installations, power solutions, battery storage and future e-mobility technologies.
Visit dealers and customers to provide technical support and training.
Work closely with the Sales and Parts teams to identify opportunities and support customers.
Be a brand ambassador for Oceania Power and Volvo Penta.
Support exciting Marine and Industrial projects across a diverse range of industries.
What You Will Bring
Trade qualification in Diesel, Heavy Vehicle, Light Vehicle, Auto Electrical, Electrical/Electronics or similar.
Minimum five years experience in a relevant technical or trade-based role.
Experience within Marine, Industrial or Power Generation applications.
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding capability.
Understanding of 12/24V electrical systems.
Exposure to high-voltage, hybrid or electric powertrain systems is advantageous.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with customers, dealers and colleagues.
A safety-first approach and a genuine team mindset.
Experience with brands such as Volvo Penta, Caterpillar, Cummins, MAN or Scania will be highly regarded.
