We're partnering with a global leader in the energy transition to find an Account Manager based in Perth. This is a rare opportunity to join a high-performing commercial team that's genuinely changing how Australian businesses consume, store and trade energy.
Our client operates Australia's largest Virtual Power Plant (VPP) platform — connecting businesses' energy assets to power markets in real-time and generating over $200 million in value for local customers. They've been doing it in Australia for over 10 years, and they're growing.
The Role
You'll own and grow a portfolio of large commercial and industrial customers within the WEM, acting as their trusted advisor across everything operational, technical and commercial. Day-to-day, you'll be:
Managing and deepening relationships with a portfolio of large C&I customers
Identifying and executing cross-sell and upsell opportunities
Being the go-to contact for any customer queries — commercial, technical or operational
Driving retention and supporting strong performance outcomes
Educating customers on new programs, market developments and platform capabilities
Feeding customer insights back to internal teams to shape product and service delivery
You'll be backed by commercial, energy markets and engineering teams who do the heavy lifting on pricing, forecasting and technical design — so you can focus on what you do best: building relationships and winning.
What We're Looking For
1–2+ years in account management, customer success or a client-facing role
Background in energy, utilities, infrastructure or a related sector
Experience managing B2B or C&I customer portfolios
Familiarity with the WEM, retail power supply or B2B energy services (highly regarded)
Strong communicator — you can translate complex energy concepts into plain language
Self-starter mentality with a genuine drive to deliver results
