The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join an established and highly respected organisation that has spent the past several years investing heavily in its systems, technology, customer offering and commercial capability.

With those foundations now firmly in place, the business is entering a significant growth phase and is looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to help drive the expansion of its national network.

This is far more than a traditional sales role. You'll be partnering directly with business owners, understanding their commercial goals and demonstrating how your organisation can help improve profitability, operational performance and long-term business value.

About the Role

This is a genuine new business development position where your primary focus will be identifying, engaging and converting new commercial opportunities.

Working closely with senior leadership, you'll develop strategic relationships with business owners, understand their individual business needs and present tailored commercial solutions that deliver long-term value.

This role offers significant autonomy and is ideal for someone who enjoys being on the road, building relationships and creating opportunities through proactive business development.

Your Responsibilities

• Develop and manage a strong pipeline of new business opportunities.
• Prospect and generate new opportunities through networking, referrals and targeted business development.
• Build trusted relationships with business owners and senior decision makers.
• Manage opportunities through the full sales cycle, from initial contact through to negotiation and conversion.
• Work collaboratively with internal marketing and customer success teams.
• Represent the business professionally across networking and industry events.
• Contribute to the ongoing commercial growth strategy of the organisation.

About You

To be successful in this role, you'll ideally bring:

• Proven success in proactive new business development.
• Experience selling complex commercial solutions, franchise opportunities, business partnerships or similar consultative services ideally within Pharmacies or FMCG
• Strong commercial acumen and confidence engaging with business owners and senior executives.
• Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• A resilient, self-motivated and results-driven approach.
• The ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with internal stakeholders.

Experience within franchise development, retail networks, wholesale, professional services or other consultative B2B environments will be highly regarded.
