About the role
ORAFOL Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a Business Development Manager to join our sales team in Dandenong Victoria. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in driving new business growth and expanding our market presence across Australia. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying, prospecting and securing new client opportunities whilst building long-term strategic partnerships that contribute to the company's continued success and revenue expansion.
What you'll be doing
Identifying and prospecting new business opportunities within targeted market segments to drive revenue growth
Developing and implementing strategic business development plans and initiatives to acquire new clients and expand market share
Building and maintaining strong relationships with key decision makers and stakeholders across various industries
Conducting market research and competitive analysis to inform business development strategy and identify emerging opportunities
Preparing compelling sales proposals, presentations and quotations tailored to client needs
Negotiating contracts and commercial terms to close new business deals
Collaborating with internal teams including product, operations and customer service to ensure successful client onboarding and satisfaction
Monitoring and reporting on business development metrics, pipeline progress and sales forecasts
Attending industry events, trade shows and networking functions to generate leads and strengthen market position
What we're looking for
Proven track record of success in new business development or sales roles, ideally within B2B environments
Strong understanding of sales processes, pipeline management and customer acquisition strategies
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and influence at all levels
Demonstrated ability to identify market opportunities and develop creative solutions to overcome sales challenges
Strong organisational and time management skills with ability to manage multiple prospects and opportunities simultaneously
Results-driven mindset with proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs
Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office suite
Self-motivated individual with resilience and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, commerce or related field, or equivalent professional experience
Experience in manufacturing, signage, graphics or related industries is preferred
