About the Role

Reporting to senior leadership, you'll be responsible for identifying and converting new business opportunities while developing long-term relationships with referral partners and clients.

This is a hybrid role offering a combination of office-based work, client meetings and remote flexibility, with regular travel throughout Melbourne and surrounding regions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, pursue and convert new business opportunities to achieve growth targets

  • Build and manage a healthy pipeline of qualified prospects

  • Develop strong referral partnerships with mortgage brokers, real estate agents, accountants and financial advisers

  • Conduct client meetings to understand lending requirements and deliver tailored solutions

  • Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets and performance objectives

  • Represent the business at networking events, industry functions and community engagements

  • Maintain strong relationships with existing clients to encourage repeat business and referrals

  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify new growth opportunities

  • Provide regular reporting on pipeline activity, sales performance and conversion metrics

  • Collaborate with internal lending, credit and customer service teams to ensure an exceptional client experience

About You

To be successful in this role, you'll bring:

  • Proven experience in Business Development, Sales, Mortgage Broking, Lending or Financial Services

  • Strong understanding of home loans, refinancing, lending or related financial products

  • Demonstrated success in developing new business and achieving sales targets

  • Exceptional relationship-building, networking and stakeholder management skills

  • Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation abilities

  • A proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to work autonomously

  • Strong commercial acumen and a customer-first mindset

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
