Love talking to people and getting things done?

You don't need a marketing degree for this one.

We're the digital marketing branch of Industry Compete, running Google and Meta ad campaigns for small and medium businesses across trades, health, professional services and more. Our clients are great, our delivery team is sharp — and we're looking for the person who sits in the middle of it all and keeps everyone happy and moving. This is a fully remote role open to anyone based in Australia.

This is not a hands-on-keyboard marketing role. You won't be building campaigns or writing ad copy. You'll be the human our clients talk to: the person who onboards them, explains what's happening in plain English, listens to what they need, and makes sure our team delivers it.

If you're the kind of person who genuinely enjoys being on the phone, building rapport, solving a problem, and chasing something to completion — keep reading.

What you'll actually be doing day to day

•      Onboarding new clients fast. We aim to get every new account live within one week. You'll run the kickoff conversations, gather what we need, set expectations, and keep the momentum.

•      Being the main point of contact. Lots of calls, messages and emails. Clients will come to you with questions, ideas, concerns and the occasional “is this working?” — and you'll handle it.

•      Educating clients in plain English. You'll explain how their campaigns are performing and what it means for their business. No jargon, no overwhelm — just clarity. (We'll teach you everything you need to know about how the campaigns work.)

•      Running regular check-ins. Weekly check-ins through a client's first couple of weeks, then a fortnightly check-in & monthly review call going forward. You'll keep relationships warm and catch issues early.

•      Recording short performance update videos. Quick screen-recorded walkthroughs (think Loom-style) showing clients how their account is tracking. Comfortable being on camera / narrating a screen recording is a plus.

•      Project-managing the back-and-forth. This is a big part of the job. You'll take what a client wants, translate it into clear requirements for our delivery and development team, track progress, bring updates back to the client, gather their feedback, and loop it back to the team. Round and round until it's right.

•      Keeping everything from falling through the cracks. You're the person who remembers what was promised, follows up, and makes sure nothing gets dropped.

Who we're looking for

You'll thrive here if you:

•      Genuinely enjoy talking to people — on the phone, on video, over chat — and can build trust quickly.

•      Are organised and on top of detail. You can juggle multiple clients and multiple moving tasks without losing track.

•      Are a natural communicator who can take something technical and explain it simply.

•      Like owning an outcome — you don't just pass messages along, you drive things to a result.

•      Are confident on camera or willing to get there (short performance videos are part of the role).

•      Are proactive — you reach out before clients have to chase you.

Nice to have, but absolutely not required

•      Experience with Google Ads or Meta (Facebook/Instagram) advertising

•      Background in account management, customer success, client services, or coordination

•      Exposure to CRMs or project management tools

If you've never touched a marketing campaign in your life but you're brilliant with people and organised — we want to hear from you. We will train you on the marketing side. This role is about relationships and follow-through first, marketing knowledge second.

People who've done well in roles like account management, customer success, client services, recruitment, hospitality management, real estate, or any people-heavy coordination role often suit this perfectly.

Why join Industry Compete

•      $40/hour, 6 hours a day, Monday to Friday — a consistent, reliable part-time schedule

•      Fully remote — work from home, anywhere in Australia

•      Full training on the marketing side — you'll grow real, in-demand skills

•      A genuinely friendly, supportive team that backs you

•      Real ownership of your client relationships

Open to Australian citizens and permanent residents.

How to apply

Hit apply and send through your resume along with a few lines on why you love working with people and a time you took a customer or client from frustrated to happy.

A quick phone or video chat will be the first step — because, well, that's the job.
