About the Role
We are looking for a practical, organised, and commercially-minded Member Liaison Manager to join our tight-knit, fully remote team. This part-time role focuses heavily on account management, member engagement, and retention for our buyer-side membership platform.
This position is structured as 5 half days per week (Monday to Friday, 4 to 5 hours per day), making it ideal for someone seeking consistent daily routine with afternoon or morning flexibility.
In a team of under ten people, everyone rolls up their sleeves. You will succeed in this role if you are relationship-driven, commercially focused, highly tech-literate, and motivated to keep our membership base engaged and growing.
Key Responsibilities
1. Account Management & Commercial Growth
Active Account Management: Maintain our master member database, using a simple traffic-light tracking system to identify highly engaged members, accounts needing attention, and at-risk accounts.
Renewals & Upgrades: Proactively manage the membership renewal cycle. Actively reach out to current members to secure renewals, prevent downgrades or cancellations, and identify organic upgrade opportunities.
Member Liaison: Serve as a core point of contact for members, ensuring they understand the platform's value and are actively leveraging their membership benefits.
2. Cashflow & Account Health
Invoice Chasing: Take full ownership of tracking due and outstanding membership invoices. Run weekly debtor reports and actively chase outstanding payments in a professional, polite, and timely manner.
3. Physical Event Member Support
Onsite Event Networking: Travel interstate within Australia to assist at our flagship physical events (approx. 2 to 3 times per year max), helping run the registration desk, welcoming members, and supporting face-to-face relationship building.
Required Skills & Experience
Work Experience: Solid professional background in Account Management, Sales Support, Customer Success, or Membership Relations.
Commercial Acumen: Comfortable handling renewal conversations, overcoming objections, and directly following up on outstanding invoices.
Small Business Mindset: You thrive in a small-business setting where priorities can shift, communication is direct, and keeping systems simple is valued over complex processes.
Tech-Savvy & Autonomous: Highly comfortable using CRM tools, communication platforms, and Excel. You must be an independent problem-solver.
Excellent Communication: Clear, bulleted, and outcome-oriented communication style. High attention to detail in member-facing communications.
Travel Flexibility: Ability and willingness to travel interstate occasionally (2 to 3 times per year max) for physical flagship events.
What We Offer
100% Remote Work: The flexibility to work from your own home office on a reliable 5 half-days schedule.
A Supportive, Clear Culture: We set clear expectations, respect your boundaries, and cut out unnecessary corporate bureaucracy.
National Exposure: Occasional opportunities to connect with the team and our industry members in person at major Australian city venues.
When applying, please include a cover letter (150–250 words) explaining why you believe you're a great fit for this role. We'd love to hear about your relevant experience, what attracts you to this opportunity, and what you would bring to our team.
