About the role

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Sales Support Officer to join our Sales Support team in Melbourne. Reporting to the Customer Success Team Leader, you will play a key role in ensuring efficient order processing, on-time deliveries, and excellent service to both internal and external customers.

This role is central to the smooth operation of our sales activities, supporting a business with a strong presence in the Australian lubricants market.

Candidates must have valid Australian work rights or appropriate work visa to be eligible for this position.

Key responsibilities

As a Sales Support Officer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Responding to customer enquiries related to product availability, pricing, orders, and deliveries

  • Processing sales orders and managing backorders

  • Coordinating freight and ensuring on-time delivery to customers

  • Consolidating load plans and delivery dockets

  • Creating and managing invoices and credit notes

  • Monitoring stock levels (bulk, packaged, and grease) and daily inventory data

  • Creating purchase requisitions for equipment and inventory

  • Booking packaged shipments and managing stock transfers

  • Liaising with Supply & Logistics teams locally and internationally (including Singapore)

  • Supporting master data management (customer and product data)

  • Working with Sales and Finance teams to manage outstanding balances

  • Assisting with digital backend platform management

  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives

  • Providing ad hoc support to the Sales Support team and broader business as required

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Proven experience in a sales support or customer service role

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in sales support or customer service roles

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities

  • High attention to detail and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Experience with SAP and/or CRM systems (highly regarded)

  • Basic SAP knowledge is preferred for this role
