As our Technical Sales & Application Engineer – Compression Technologies, you will become the trusted advisor to customers seeking innovative compression, retrofit, upgrade and lifecycle solutions. You'll work closely with engineering, project delivery, service teams and GEA's global technology centers to create tailored solutions that help customers improve performance, efficiency and reliability.
You will own the customer journey—from identifying opportunities and understanding operational challenges, through to developing technical solutions, supporting successful delivery, and ensuring long-term customer satisfaction.

Develop new business opportunities across equipment sales, retrofits, upgrades, spare parts and service solutions.
Build trusted relationships with existing and prospective customers across Australia and New Zealand.
Conduct customer meetings, site visits, technical presentations and solution workshops.
Support the preparation of quotations, bids and tenders that are technically robust and commercially competitive.
Identify opportunities to expand GEA's footprint and grow long-term customer partnerships.
Provide application and technical support on GEA's compression technology solutions.
Review customer specifications, operating requirements and site conditions to develop fit-for-purpose solutions.
Support customers with system configurations, equipment selection, troubleshooting and lifecycle planning.
Collaborate with global engineering and product specialists to deliver world-class technical outcomes.
Ensure all proposed solutions align with customer requirements, industry standards and GEA best practices.
Partner with project execution, engineering and service teams to ensure seamless handover of awarded projects.
Assist with technical clarifications, project reviews, customer communications and after-sales support.
Support warranty, complaint resolution and customer satisfaction activities.
Maintain accurate sales pipeline, opportunity and customer information within CRM systems.
Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, quality and safety excellence.
You will play a critical role in helping customers modernize and optimize their operations through advanced compression technologies.

We're looking for a technically strong and commercially driven professional who enjoys building relationships and solving real-world industrial challenges.
Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Industrial, Process Engineering or a related technical discipline.
Trade or technical qualifications with relevant industry experience will also be considered.
Additional experience in compressors, rotating equipment, refrigeration systems or related technologies will be highly regarded.
You bring:
Experience in technical sales, application engineering, product support or solutions engineering.
Exposure to compressors, rotating equipment, refrigeration systems or related industrial technologies.
Experience preparing quotations, technical proposals and tender submissions.
Strong understanding of industrial equipment lifecycle, installation, commissioning and maintenance considerations.
Experience working across multiple stakeholders and technical disciplines.
Strong consultative selling and relationship-building skills.
Ability to balance technical detail with commercial outcomes.
Excellent communication and presentation capabilities.
