Our client is an Australian business representing a world-leading transformer manufacturer, supplying high-quality, AS and IEC-compliant electrical equipment to some of Australia's most significant renewable energy and high-voltage infrastructure projects. Their product range includes power transformers rated up to 1,500 MVA and 750kV, supported by end-to-end services spanning design review, manufacturing, testing, transport, delivery, installation, and ongoing maintenance.

As Technical Sales Engineer, you will manage the full customer lifecycle - from early project development through to contract finalisation - engaging a wide range of stakeholders across the renewable energy and utility sectors.
This is a full-time, on-site role based at the company's Box Hill office, five days per week.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing account strategies and plans to deliver growth
Gaining deep understanding and familiarity with the industry, products, and project delivery
Providing excellent customer service and account management to build and maintain strong, long-term relationships at senior levels with key strategic customers
Driving high levels of customer satisfaction
Ensuring relevant customer information is captured to assist with sales strategy
Working closely with project teams to ensure customer expectations are exceeded
Driving customer engagement activities as required
Resolving client issues and concerns promptly and professionally
Monitoring and taking control of sales opportunities
Preparing and presenting proposals and presentations to clients
Interstate and international travel as required
To be a strong fit for this role, you will bring a minimum of three years' experience in a similar or related role, combining technical credibility with strong commercial acumen developed within the energy or utilities sector.
You will have:
Demonstrable experience working on, contributing to, or familiarity with utility projects or large-scale renewable energy projects (solar, wind, BESS, substations or transmission)
Strategic experience in account and relationship management, preferably within energy or utilities
Established industry relationships you can leverage from day one
A strong technical background - experience in electrical engineering or power transformers is highly regarded
Well developed presentation, negotiation, and communication skills
A strong ability to influence and form relationships with key internal stakeholders
Confidence presenting to small groups and senior management
The ability to work independently, solve problems, and demonstrate consistent proactivity
A high level of commercial acumen and high attention to detail
A current driver's licence
Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency (mandatory requirement)
