About the Role

At WIA, we're looking for an ambitious Territory Manager to take ownership of our South Queensland market and help drive the next stage of growth for one of Australia's most trusted welding brands. This is more than a sales role it's an opportunity to work alongside distributors, fabricators, manufacturers, and welding professionals, delivering innovative solutions that keep Australian industry moving.
As the face of WIA across South Queensland, you'll be responsible for growing market share, identifying opportunities, and creating lasting partnerships.
Key responsibilities include:
Driving territory sales growth and exceeding performance targets
Identifying and securing new business opportunities across key market segments
Developing and expanding distributor relationships
Partnering with welding professionals, fabricators, and procurement teams to deliver tailored solutions
Conducting site visits to understand customer challenges and recommend best-fit products
Delivering engaging product demonstrations, trials, and technical training
Maintaining accurate CRM records, sales forecasts, and pipeline activity
Monitoring market trends, customer insights, and competitor activity
Representing WIA at industry events, trade shows, customer functions, and training programs
About You
You're a driven and customer-focused sales professional who enjoys solving problems and helping customers succeed.
You'll bring:
3+ years' experience in technical, industrial, or B2B sales
Strong understanding of welding processes (MIG, TIG, Stick, FCAW preferred)
A proven track record of growing existing accounts and winning new business
Experience working with distributors and conducting customer site visits
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Strong organisational skills with experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office
A current driver's license and willingness to travel throughout Queensland
Highly regarded:
Trade qualification in Welding, Fabrication, or a related technical discipline
