We're seeking an experienced Warehouse & Logistics Supervisor to oversee our warehouse and logistics operations in Port Melbourne. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll lead a team of forklift operators and warehouse personnel while ensuring imported and exported steel products are handled safely, efficiently and in accordance with company procedures and Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) requirements.

About the Role
As the Warehouse & Logistics Supervisor, you will be responsible for:
Leading the day-to-day warehouse operations involving steel coils, sheet, plate and other heavy metal products.
Coordinating the unloading of import containers and loading of export containers.
Managing the safe handling, storage, identification and inventory control of materials.
Ensuring export cargo is packed, protected and secured in accordance with company packing standards.
Leading warehouse personnel and forklift operators while promoting a strong safety culture.
Coordinating daily work priorities to meet customer delivery requirements and operational deadlines.
Ensuring daily operational targets are achieved while maintaining high standards of safety, quality and customer service.
Maintaining warehouse housekeeping, equipment inspections and preventative maintenance programs.
Driving continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, quality and operational efficiency.
Ensuring compliance with Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) legislation, company procedures and quality standards.
About You
You're a confident and practical warehouse leader who enjoys working alongside your team, solving operational challenges and maintaining high standards of safety. You lead by example, communicate effectively and understand how efficient warehouse operations contribute to customer success.
To be successful in this role, you'll have:
Demonstrated experience (5+ years preferred) in warehouse supervision, logistics or heavy industrial operations.
Strong knowledge of container loading, cargo securing and export logistics.
Sound understanding of Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) legislation and safe work practices.
Proven leadership experience with the ability to motivate, develop and support teams.
Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory control systems.
Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
A proactive attitude with a genuine commitment to safety, continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Essential Requirements
Current Forklift Licence (LF) with experience operating a counter-balance forklift.
Current Australian Driver's Licence.
Highly Regarded
Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (or equivalent).
First Aid Certificate.
Dogging and/or Rigging experience.
Experience within the steel, manufacturing, logistics or heavy industrial sectors.
