Reporting to the Education Onboarding Lead, the Education Specialist is the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in school operations & education
administration, supporting a transformative, AI-enabled Microsoft Dynamics 365 solution to drive ongoing improvement at schools. The role ensures that onboarding, requirements validation and product feedback are grounded in how schools manage administration, reporting, student information, staff workflows, leadership oversight and parent facing communication. The role helps translate school administration needs into clear onboarding input, supports practical adoption of standard processes & identifies where leading technologies, including AI-enabled capabilities where appropriate, can improve clarity, efficiency & decision-making across school operations.
  
Your key responsibilities ;
  • Provide school operations & education SME input during discovery, scoping & configuration.
  • Translate teaching, learning & admin workflows into clear onboarding inputs.
  • Review configurations to ensure alignment with real school practices.
  • Guide schools to adopt standard build.
  • Advise on using EdTech/AI to enhance processes without adding complexity.
  • Act as the education SME, bringing classroom & school-operational insight to roadmap discussions & enhancements.
  • Provide ongoing guidance on platform use, workflow changes, and feature adoption.
  • Identify opportunities to improve outcomes via tech-enabled process improvements.
  • Support design & delivery of training & change materials for staff and leaders.
  • Build school confidence during onboarding & transition to BAU.
  • Act as key contact for school staff on education-related questions
  • throughout deployment & ongoing support.
  • Simplify complex concepts to support adoption across all school stakeholders.
  • Build strong relationships with school leaders, teachers & administrators.
  • Collaborate with onboarding, customer success & product teams.
This role requires an experienced educator/school leader or school administrator with a strong understanding of teaching, learning and day-to-day school operations, able to translate classroom & school requirements effectively for onboarding & configuration teams. You’ll bring proven capability in change management, training delivery & stakeholder engagement within education settings, complemented by strong facilitation & communication skills that enable confident engagement with both teachers & executive leadership. Adept at contributing to structured governance processes, providing clear, well-reasoned input & communicating platform impacts in practical, educator-focused terms. Demonstrates a process-driven yet flexible approach, escalating issues appropriately while maintaining focus on outcomes. Skilled at prioritising competing demands, simplifying complexity & sustaining momentum to meet time-bound delivery commitments.
  
Experience in EdTech onboarding, schools facing SaaS implementation, or curriculum technology, along with a strong understanding of Aus K–12 schooling systems, including independent school governance & the broader SaaS landscape is highly desirable but not essential.
