Are you a visionary technical leader looking to make a genuine impact? We are looking for a
Head of Product Engineering to join Cerclos and are keen to hear from Remote Australia wide candidates or those based in Perth seeking a hybrid work option where the majority of our team, including the Engineers are based in our cool co-working space in Central Perth.
This is a pivotal role where you won't just manage a team; you will define the technical strategy, drive our product roadmap, and lead the adoption of AI-assisted development

What you'll do
You will lead our Product Engineering capability, balancing hands-on technical contribution with strategic leadership
Your core focus areas include:
- Technical Strategy: Aligning our tech stack with business goals, focusing on cost optimisation, high availability, and performance.
- Roadmap Delivery: Prioritising ruthlessly to ensure our products solve real business problems for our customers.
- AI Integration: Owning our applied-AI strategy—not just as a trend, but as a practical tool to lift engineering productivity and create customer value.
- Team Leadership: Hiring, mentoring, and upskilling a talented team of engineers and product owners, embedding best practices across the full software life cycle.
Who You Are
- A Technical Expert: You have deep commercial experience in B2B SaaS, with core knowledge across .NET, C#, MySQL, and React. You are comfortable with cloud infrastructure (AWS) and modern software architecture.
- A Strategic Leader: You have a track record of leading teams with empathy. You can challenge and motivate in equal measure and are excellent at communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- A Problem Solver: You are comfortable with ambiguity and have a passion for quality architecture. You weigh trade-offs carefully to propose scalable solutions.
- A Pragmatist: Whether it’s choosing the right AI tooling or deciding between monolithic vs. microservices, you prioritise fit-for-purpose solutions over hype.

- True Autonomy: You will own the technical vision. Reporting directly to the CEO, you’ll be a key member of the management team, influencing business outcomes and collaborating across sales, marketing, and customer success.
