About the Role

As Sales Manager, you will provide leadership and direction to the Compact Construction Equipment sales team while driving customer satisfaction, sales performance, and market growth across the Melbourne Metro Region. As a key member of the leadership team, you will contribute to the ongoing success of the business by developing your people, strengthening customer relationships, and delivering commercial results.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading, coaching, and developing a high-performing team of Territory Managers
  • Driving sales growth, market share, and profitability across the Compact Construction Equipment division
  • Developing and implementing sales strategies, marketing initiatives, and business plans
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key customers and industry partners
  • Monitoring sales performance, forecasting, budgeting, and inventory management
  • Identifying new business opportunities and market trends to support continued growth
  • Collaborating with Branch, Parts, Service, and Corporate teams to deliver exceptional customer outcomes
  • Fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and customer success

What You'll Bring

  • Proven success in a sales leadership or management role
  • Previous experience within the compact construction equipment, construction, heavy equipment, or related industry
  • Strong leadership skills with a passion for coaching and developing high-performing teams
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain profitable customer relationships
  • Commercial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, asset management, and pricing strategies
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • A growth mindset with the ability to identify and capitalise on market opportunities
  • Willingness to travel throughout the Melbourne Metro Region
